The turmeric herb, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-rheumatic, anti-fibrotic, anti-venomous, anti-viral, anti-diabetic, anti-hepatotoxic, and also anti-cancer properties, has been increasingly used by the public since ancient times. Being an integral part of Indian and Chinese Medicine, the turmeric herb has recently gained importance as an alternative source for various diseases, thanks to its curcumin, oleoresin, essential oils, and other bioactive compounds (1). 

Curcumin obtained from the rhizomes of the Turmeric (Curcuma longa) herb, which is a member of the Zingiberaceae family, is the most important of all its major bioactive components. In traditional medicine, curcumin is used in the treatment of various diseases such as indigestion, urinary system infections, liver diseases, and rheumatoid arthritis. Curcumin has attracted attention in cancer research in recent years for its cancer-suppressing properties. In addition to curcumin, ar-turmerone, another major volatile component of the turmeric herb, is one of the sesquiterpenes that attract great attention due to its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, and anti-carcinogenic properties (3). It has been suggested that ar-turmerone inhibits microglia activation, a property that may be useful in the treatment of neurodegenerative disease. 
Besides, the effects of ar-turmerone on neural stem cells remain to be investigated (4). 

For thousands of years, scientists have used a wide variety of methods to benefit from the healing properties of herbs. EXTRACTs, obtained by the carbon dioxide supercritical fluid extraction method (SFE), which was developed to acquire bioactive components from herbs, make it possible to obtain almost all of the volatile bioactive components and other auxiliary active substances in herbs in a clean environment without oxidization. In the studies in the literature, ar-turmerone and curlone are obtained at 41.05 % and 16.43 % respectively, whereas in Minerelax turmeric extract, ar-turmerone is 53.27 % and curlone is around 17.80 % (5). 

The extracts obtained by the SFE method are high-quality products that have not been oxidized and do not contain chemicals, together with their extensive effect on health.
